Case Filed Over Constable's Death During Clashes With BNP

A case has been registered regarding the death of a policeman in a clash with BNP yesterday (October 28) in the Fakirapool area of the capital.

The police filed a case against the BNP activists at Paltan police station on Sunday (October 29) early in the morning.

Paltan Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Sentu Mia confirmed this information to the media. However, he could not immediately give details about how many or who are the accused in the case.

The deceased constable Amirul Parvez was working in the Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime Branch of DMP. His house is in Daulatpur of Manikganj district. He was seriously injured in a clash in Fakirapool area yesterday afternoon. He was hit on the head. Policemen and passers-by took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital from Fakirapool. Doctors declared him dead at 4:30 p.m.
