Due to the hartal called by BNP, the counter owners said that long-distance buses are not leaving from Gabtali Bus Terminal in the capital. They said that not a single bus could leave today due to passenger shortage.

The employees of various bus counters said that no long-distance bus arrived at the Gabtali bus terminal on Sunday.

From 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., no long-distance bus was seen coming or leaving the Gabtali bus terminal area. Although there were two waiting passengers, most of the counters were closed.

Journalists spoke to at least 5 counter masters to find out about the bus not leaving. Each of them said that the bus was not leaving because of the passenger crisis.

Meanwhile, around 10:30 a.m., a group of youths supported by Awami League with a fleet of motorcycles went around the counter and gave instructions to leave the car.

No activists of the BNP were seen publicly in the Gabtali area due to the hartal. However, a large number of leaders and activists supported by the Awami League were standing in front of the Gabtali Bus Terminal.
