Explosion At Rice Mill Leaves 3 Dead

At least three persons were killed and another injured in an explosion at a rice mill in Thakurgaon on Thursday (January 4) morning.

The deceased were identified as Dipti Das, 40, Palak Das, 12 and Puja Das, 11, said Talha bin Zasim, an official of Fire Service and Civil Defence's media cell.

The incident took place around 9:30am. The explosion originated in the boiler of the rice mill at Rahimanpur area, he said.

On information, a fire engine rushed there and carried out the rescue operation, Talha said.

Injured Sagar Das was taken to a local hospital.
