Nasser Shahrear Zahedee Mohul Takes Oath As MP

Chairman of Radiant Pharmaceuticals and newly elected independent member of the 12th National Parliament Md. Nasser Shahrear Zahedee Mohul has taken oath on Wednesday (January 10), who secured victory from Jhenaidah-2 constituency with the 'Eagle' symbol.

Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury administered the oath to the elected members of parliament in the oath room of the parliament building.

Earlier, the gazette of the new MPs was released on Tuesday. According to the provisions of the Constitution, there is an obligation to take oath as a Member of Parliament within three days of publication of the Gazette.

On January 7, 299 constituencies polled simultaneously across the country. The election commission has announced the results of 298 seats privately. Awami League won 222, Jatiya Party 11, Bangladesh Kalyan Party 1, Bangladesh Workers Party 1, Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (JSD) 1 and independent 62 seats.
