Yunus Going For Appeal to The Court on Sunday

Nobel laureate economist Dr. Muhammad Yunus would be filing appeal against of his case and at the same time he would appear in person for asking bail. For this, tomorrow Sunday (January 28) at 10 am he will go to Labor Appeal Tribunal. 

Today Saturday (January 27) Dr. Yunus' lawyer, Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun ensured the regarding issue. 

Barrister Abdullah Al Mamun said the appeal will be lodged with the Labor Appellate Tribunal on Sunday. We will raise 25 legal arguments on appeal.

He also said that Yunus returned to the country on January 24. He will appeal for acquittal on January 28. And he will appear before the Labor Appellate Tribunal on the same day for seeking out bail.

He said, Dr. Yunus has already returned from abroad with canceling various seminars and symposiums. He respects the law. We want release and justice. 

At this time he said that the Directorate of Inspection of Factories and Institutions filed a case against them. But the case is being promoted by the plaintiff workers. He claims that the findings are not consistent with the facts. So 25 arguments will be presented in the appeal seeking acquittal.

Earlier in the case of violation of labor law, Dr. Yunus was sentenced to 6 months on January 1. However within 30 days 4 people including Yunus got bail according to the condition of appeal. Deadline of bail will expire on January 31.
