The first phase of Biswa Ijtema on the Turag shores of Tongi is beginning on February 2 and it will continue till February 4. The 2nd phase will begin on February 9 and end on February 11. On this occasion, Dhaka and Gazipur Metropolitan Police have issued special guidelines for vehicular parking and movement.

According to a notification from the police headquarters on Tuesday, no vehicles will be allowed to park on both sides of the road from Khilkhet via Abdullahpur to Dhaur Bridge during the Ijtema.

Places in Dhaka to park the vehicles of those coming to Ijtema:

1. Dhaka and Chattogram Division Parking: Kadmatoli Market under Sector No. 15, Sector No. 17 Uludah Field, on the slope of No. 5 Bridge.

2. Sylhet and Khulna Division Parking: Sector 15 Lakepar Ground of Uttara.

3. Rajshahi, Rangpur, and Mymensingh Division Parking: Uttara Bridge No. 10 and Bridge No. 11 West side of the lake inside Sector No. 16 and Boubazar Ground.

4. Barishal Division Parking: BIWTA Landing Station adjacent to Dhaur Bridge Crossing.

5. Dhaka Metropolis: Vacant land of Swadesh Property in 300 feet road area.

Parking space in Gazipur metropolitan area:

1. Mymensingh Division Parking: Chandana High School, Chowrasta, Gazipur,

2. Parking for vehicles coming from North Bengal and Tangail: Bhawal Badre Alam Government College Ground, Chowrasta, Gazipur,

3. Parking of vehicles going to Gazipur via Mir Bazar road: Pubail College, Pubail, Gazipur,

4. Government Vehicles: Tongi Telephone Industry Corporation (TESIS) and Tongi Government College Grounds.

During the parking of vehicles carrying pilgrims at designated places, the driver and helper must remain in the vehicle and the owner and driver must keep each other's mobile numbers so that they can communicate with each other immediately in case of special needs.

Areas where parking is not allowed:

No car parking will be allowed on either side of the road from Uttara Khilkhet via Abdullahpur to Dhaur Bridge. According to the notification, the night before the Akheri Monajat i.e. February 3 from 10:00 PM to February 2:00 PM and from February 10: 10:00 PM to February 11: 2:00 PM, traffic will be suspended on the two-way road from Abdullahpur to Bhogra Bypass and from Mir Bazar to Station Road.

Kamarpara Road will be closed from Mannu Gate from the first day of Ijtema i.e. from February 2nd to February 4th in the first phase and from February 9th to February 11th in the second phase.

Vehicles carrying VVIPs/VIPs/foreign pilgrims performing in the Bishwa Ijtema will descend from BNS Tower at Uttara via Tongi Flyover to Station Road and use Mannu Gate Kamarpara Road.

Inter-district buses, trucks, covered vans, and other heavy vehicles will have to avoid the Abdullahpur, Dhaur bridge intersection and move via Mohakhali-Bijoy Sarani-Gabatli from 4 am on the day of Akheri Monajat. Similarly, vehicles coming from North Bengal via Nabinagar, Bypail, and Ashulia will avoid the Kamarpara/Abdullahpur crossing and pass through Savar Gabtali. Or they will move through the Mirpur Embankment through Dhaur Bridge Crossing.

Vehicles coming from Dhaka via Airport Road will travel via Kuril Flyover via Pragati Sarani or U-turn via Bishwa Road Crossing (Nikunj-1 Catchi Gate). On the day of Akheri Monajat from 4 am onwards, the vehicles coming within 300 feet will have to avoid Kuril Flyover Loop-2 (Airport bound) and use Pragati Sarani and Kuril Flyover Loop-4 (Kakli-Mahakhali bound). The vehicles are not allowed to use airport roads anyway.

Residents of Uttara, air passengers, air operational vehicles and air crew-carrying vehicles, fire service vehicles, law enforcement vehicles, and ambulances are requested to avoid the airport road and use the Mirpur-Gabatali road via Mohakhali Vijaysarani as an alternative.

Pilgrims traveling from Dhaka city to the Ijtema site on foot are requested to travel to Tongi Ijtema Maidan via Bailey Bridge or Kamarpara Bridge over the Turag river.

Transportation services will be provided for the passengers from Padma Loop and Kuratali Loop-2 on the day of Akheri Monajat to bring and take the foreign passengers to the airport under the management of Traffic Uttara Division. The Kawla/Airport-bound exit of Dhaka Elevated Expressway has been asked to be avoided on the day of Akheri Monajat._agencies
