BGB Seize 1 kg Crystal Meth In Satkhira

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) members seized one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine in the Kutibari border area of Kalaroa in Satkhira last night. No individuals were apprehended in connection with the incident.

According to Lt Colonel Ashraful Haque, the Commanding Officer of BGB-33 in Satkhira, the border guards received intelligence indicating the smuggling of a significant quantity of drugs from India into the country through the Kakdanga border in Satkhira.

Acting on this information, a BGB patrol team conducted a raid at the Kutibari border. Upon sensing the presence of the border guards, the smugglers hastily fled the scene, abandoning a bag filled with drugs.

Subsequently, the bag was examined, revealing the seizure of one kilogram of crystal methamphetamine. The estimated market value of this quantity of crystal meth is approximately Tk 5 crore, as stated by the BGB official.

A case has been registered at Kalaroa Police Station in connection with the incident.
