Special Attention Should Be Paid To All Sports: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, today our children are achieving well in sports beyond the borders of the country and abroad. Which started soon after independence. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman sent our youth team to Russia, India, and even Vietnam at that time. He also arranged for training. So that's how we need to take our sport forward.

She said this at the opening ceremony of the final phase of the 52nd Winter National Sports Competition on Wednesday (February 7).

The Prime Minister said that not only cricket and football but all kinds of sports should be given special attention at the secondary level. Inter-school, inter-college, and university competition needs to be developed. By doing this, our children will get physical exercise, as well as their minds and mentality will develop more beautifully.

He said, our children need better training for sports. We will build one sports institute in each of the 8 divisions of the country. Where our children can excel in sports from an early age.
