7 People Die At 2nd Phase Of Ijtema

The second phase of the Biswa Ijtema is underway on the banks of the Turag River in Tongi. Before and during the commencement of the second phase, seven Muslims have died. Among them, one person died in a road accident, while the remaining six died due to old age-related causes.

Today, Friday, February 9th, media coordinator Mohammad Sayem confirmed that six of the deceased individuals passed away due to old age-related reasons. The families of those who have passed away have been given their bodies.

During the journey to the Ijtema, Abdul Kashem (65), a Muslim, died due to a collision with a bus in Abdullahpur.

This information was confirmed by Bachchu Mia, an inspector at the police camp of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Abdul Kashem hailed from Ramgati Upazila in Lakshmipur district. However, the identities of the other two deceased individuals are yet to be ascertained.

The other deceased Muslims are Mohammad Abul Kalam (65) from Ramkrishnapur village in Sherpur Sadar Upazila, Helim Mia (65) from Kendua village in Netrokona, Mohammad Jahir Uddin (70) from Shibnagar area of Nababganj Thana in Dinajpur, and Nabi Uddin (65) from Goaler Char village in Islam pur Thana of Jamalpur district.

Mohammad Sayem, the media coordinator for the second phase of the Biswa Ijtema, confirmed that six of the deceased individuals died due to old age-related causes, while one died in a road accident.
