The missing female BCS cadre named Happy (31), who went missing while touring Cox's Bazar to Teknaf, has been rescued by the police. She belongs to the 41st BCS cadre and was serving in the Forest Department.

Confirming the authenticity of her rescue on Friday afternoon (February 9th), Officer-in-Charge Muhammad Osman Gani of Teknaf Police Station stated that since last Sunday (February 4th), her whereabouts had been unknown after she failed to return from her trip to Saint Martin.

According to sources, her companions, concerned about her disappearance, informed the police and subsequently lodged a written diary at the police station. Following directives from Cox's Bazar district police and Ukhiya-Teknaf circle, an operational team led by SI Sudarshan of the police began efforts to locate her.

Based on information obtained through mobile tracking, her mobile location was traced to the Sugandha Point area of Cox's Bazar city on February 5th.

After a rigorous five-day search operation by the operational team, she was successfully rescued from a hotel room in the Cox's Bazar Sea-Beach Point area in the early hours of Friday morning.

The OC further informed that upon interrogation after her rescue, it was revealed that she was feeling disappointed due to personal issues and dissatisfaction with the BCS examination results, which led her to choose this path of disappearance. She is currently under the protection of the police operational team. After completing the necessary legal procedures, she will be handed over to her family.

Teknaf Upazila Executive Officer Md. Adnan Chowdhury stated that upon learning of the incident, the Teknaf Police Station initiated an operational campaign to locate the missing woman.

The police personnel of the operational team worked tirelessly and with the assistance of information technology through mobile tracking, they were able to locate the missing female BCS cadre from a hotel in the Cox's Bazar Sea-Beach Point area after a five-day-long search operation.

It is noteworthy that a team of 71 individuals, including the missing woman, traveled from Dhaka to Saint Martin Island on February 2nd. They stayed at several resorts including Sea View Resort on the island. On Sunday morning, she informed her friends that she would meet them later and left the resort. However, she did not return to the hotel until late afternoon. Her friends found her belongings, including clothes and bags, in the room. Later, at around 9 AM, a message was received from her number on one of her friends' phones, stating that she would return to the room after taking a shower. However, she was not found thereafter.
