Health Minister Samanta Lal Sen has stated that the primary goal of the Health Ministry is to spread healthcare facilities across rural Bangladesh. He emphasized that if each health complex or district hospital can stand independently, patients from places like rural areas won't need to flock to cities like Dhaka or Chattogram for treatment.

On Monday (February 26), during a visit to the Kumudini Complex in Mirzapur, Tangail, the Health Minister made these statements to journalists.

Samanta Lal Sen said that the Prime Minister has instructed the Health Ministry to have zero tolerance for medical negligence so that patients do not fall victim to incorrect treatments.

Regarding the absence of doctors in rural areas, the Minister said that the Health Ministry is working to ensure adequate protection for doctors in villages.

At the time  Dr. Md. Abdul Kuddus, Director of Tangail Sheikh Hasina Medical College, and Rajib Prasad Saha, Director of Kumudini Welfare Trust were present with him.
