One-Lane Of Gazipur Chandna Flyover Opens For Traffic Movement

A one-lane of the flyover of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project at the Chandna intersection area in ​​Gazipur has been opened. The lane was opened early Tuesday (March 5) morning.

The opening of one-lane has brought a lot of relief to the commuters on this road. From now on, public transports from Dhaka to Mymensingh-bound and Gazipur’s Joydebpur-bound will be able to use the flyover road in the Chandna intersection area. 

According to BRT project sources, the lane has been opened before the completion of the work to reduce traffic tails. However, Dhaka-bound vehicles will have to travel under the flyover.

The commuters have to enter the city of Mymensingh, Tangail-North Bengal and Gazipur through the Chandana intersection. As the project work was going on for a long time, the transports leaving from Dhaka used to force their way through the Vogra Bypass. As a result, passengers suffered long traffic tails. By opening the lanes of this flyover, the suffering will be reduced to a great extent.

Gazipur Metropolitan Police DC (Traffic) Alamgir Hossain said that Mymensingh-bound and Joydebpur-bound lanes have been opened this morning. Hopefully, the problem of transportation that was created temporarily, will not be there anymore. The work of the other lane from Joydebpur has also been completed.
