Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has commented that the sanctions given by the US on RAB are not acceptable.
She said, ''how do sanctions come on those who work for people? sanctions are never unilateral, we will also impose sanction if necessary.''
The Prime Minister said these things in the speech of the chief guest at RAB's founding anniversary today, (Wednesday, March 6).
Sheikh Hasina said RAB has played a brave role in suppressing militancy at the risk of life. Besides, they surrendered and rehabilitated the bandits.
She said RAB is working to protect human rights. The United States has sanctioned this organization. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's question is how sanctions are imposed on the organization (RAB) which is working to protect human rights.
The Prime Minister also said that RAB should play a more effective role in preventing the spread of youth gangs and drugs. Action should be taken against dishonest traders and hoarders during Ramadan. Measures should be taken to prevent black money and fake currency during Eid.
Peace has come to people's minds due to the deactivation of militants and terrorists by RAB's activities. The Chief Minister thanked the RAB for playing a brave role in fighting militancy at the risk of their lives.
