The Bangladeshi ship MV Abdullah, along with 23 sailors, has been stranded in the coastal area of Somalia for three days. However, there has been no communication with the pirates from the ship's owners yet. As a result, the wait for the sailors' release is increasing.

Today, Tuesday (March 19), marks the eighth day of the situation. The families of the sailors are experiencing anxiety and distress due to the lack of communication with their loved ones.

It is known that the ship is currently located about 40/45 nautical miles north of the Garacad coast, marked as a controlled area by Somali pirates.

The ship's owners are waiting for negotiations or rescue efforts. However, they claim that all sailors are safe and in good health.

Media advisor of KSRM, Mizanul Islam, stated that according to the latest information, all sailors are fine, healthy, and safe. They are trying their best to return them safely to their families.

On Monday (March 18), it was reported in the media that the police of Somalia's semi-autonomous Puntland region and members of various naval forces are preparing to rescue the Bangladeshi ship MV Abdullah, along with 23 sailors, from pirates. This news was released by Reuters based on a message from the police of the semi-autonomous Puntland region of Somalia. However, the ship's owners stated that they are unaware of such a drive.

It is worth mentioning that on March 12, the Bangladeshi flag-bearing ship MV Abdullah was attacked by Somali pirates in the Indian Ocean.
