Advance Eid Train Ticket Sale Starts Tomorrow

Advance train ticket sales ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr will start tomorrow (Sunday). Bangladesh Railway has decided to sell train tickets in advance on April 10 on the holy day of Eid-ul-Fitr. Tickets will be sold through the railway website (https://eticket.railway.gov.bd/) and mobile app from 8 am on this day. This time the total number of seats on the train departing from Dhaka will be 33,500.

It is known from the recently published proceedings of the Bangladesh Railways that in the previous Eids, 5-day tickets were sold, but this time, the railway will sell 7-day tickets for the first time. On the occasion of Eid, 100% of the tickets will be sold online to reduce hassle.

April 3 tickets for intercity trains before Eid will be sold on March 24; April 4 tickets go on sale on March 25; 

Tickets for April 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 will go on sale on March, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 respectively.

Besides, 25 percent of tickets will be available at the counter of the starting station before the start of the journey at the request of common passengers.

In a press conference, Director General (Acting) of Railways Sardar Shahadat Ali said, like last time, 100 percent of train tickets will be sold online. But these tickets will be sold in 2 shifts. Tickets for western trains will go on sale at 8 am and tickets for eastern trains will go on sale at 2 pm. This Eid, the total number of seats in the intercity train departing from Dhaka will be 33,500.
