Fire At Multi Storey Building In Dhaka’s Gulshan Under Control

A fire that erupted on the eighth floor of the 17-storey AWR Tower near Gulshan-1 circle in Dhaka city on Saturday afternoon was swiftly brought under control within 20 minutes by 4:40 pm, local media reports.

The blaze broke out on the building's eighth floor around 4:20 pm, Md Rafi Al Faruk, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence, was cited as saying.

Earlier a fire broke out on the 9th floor of AWR Tower in the capital’s Gulshan on Saturday. 

But no casualties were reported on the incident.

While the fire was extinguished swiftly, the cause of the incident and the extent of loss from it have yet to be determined.
