3 Killed As Bus Runs Over Auto-Rickshaw In Mymensingh

Three individuals lost their lives and four others sustained injuries after a bus collided with a CNG-powered auto-rickshaw in Mymensingh on Thursday.

The incident took place on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway at Ujanpara in Trishal upazila around 11 am.

Among the deceased, the auto-rickshaw driver was identified as Shariful Islam, aged 33, and a two-year-old named Rubaya Tasnim. The identity of the third victim remains unknown at present.

The injured individuals were promptly taken to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for treatment.

According to Kamal Hossain, Officer-in-charge of Trishal Police Station, the accident occurred when the bus collided with the auto-rickshaw while attempting a U-turn. This resulted in one fatality at the scene and two others being injured. Sadly, despite medical attention, the injured individuals succumbed to their injuries at the hospital.
