Stern Actions Against KNF Terrorists Strictly: Home Minister

Law enforcers along with army and border guards is going to start a joint operation against the armed group Kuki-Chin National Front in Bandarban from today. RAB said that the operation of the joint forces started after the attack on Sonali Bank in Ruma and the rescue of the kidnapped manager of the bank, Nezam Uddin. Meanwhile, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal visited Bandarban today. The Home Minister reached the Ruma Upazila Parishad after 11 am on Saturday. There he visited different places.

After visiting the state-owned Sonali Bank in Ruma Upazila of Bandarban, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said that who did it, why they did it, who had the cooperation, and whether anyone was negligent or not, everything will be seen.

He said this while talking to media persons in front of the Sonali Bank Ruma branch this Saturday morning.

The Home Minister said, 'Ruma is such a place, we never thought that there would be such a turbulent environment. We have always seen that peace-loving people live in this area. Why this incident happened suddenly, is the question for us today.

He said, 'The main purpose of the robbery was to collect money, that's what we think so far. We will see everything. Armed terrorists will enter here and our security forces will sit still it cannot happen. The security forces will now take action to counter the terrorists.

'We will take a strict stand in this regard. We will not allow any further violation of law and order. We do not want any unrest in this peace-loving area, where the breeze of peace always blows. We will find out the reasons, who did it, who had their cooperation and we will take legal action,' he added.

According to the minister's schedule, at 12:30 PM, the Home Minister will hold a meeting with the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police, and other senior officials of law and order forces at Circuit House. In the afternoon of this day, the Home Minister will leave for Dhaka from Bandarban.
