Although the Eid journey has begun, the Daulatdia-Paturia Ferrey ghat is not experiencing significant passenger or vehicle congestion. The launch ghat is uncrowded, and passengers and vehicles are quickly boarding ferries to cross the river upon arrival. However, there may be an increase in passenger and vehicle traffic two to three days before Eid.

The Padma Bridge has reduced the suffering of millions of people from 21 districts who used to wait for hours to cross the ferry on the Daulatdia-Paturia terminal.

Despite Padma Bridge being the primary route for transportation, some cargo trucks from Kushtia, Satkhira, Jessore, Magura, Faridpur, and Rajbari still use this waterway. During normal times, around 1,500 to 2,000 vehicles would cross, but the number has doubled around Eid. Fortunately, passengers are crossing without any difficulties.

Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Corporation (BIWTC) Daulatdia terminal Manager (trade) Md Salahuddin said: "All preparations have been made to ensure smooth crossing of passengers and vehicles during Eid. Three terminals are ready, and 15 ferries have been prepared. To reduce the extra pressure of vehicles, cargo truck crossings will be suspended three days before and after Eid. People returning home are crossing comfortably without any issues."

One of the passenger who is going to his village home for Eid, said that before the inauguration of the Padma Bridge, had to wait more than 15-20 hours on the highway and at the ferry ghats during the Eid journey.
