Nathan Bom, the top leader of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KNF) armed group, has been in hiding for a couple of years. Currently, he is said to be staying in Mizoram, India. After the bank robbery and attack on the police station in Ruma and Thanchi in Bandarban, Nathan, a fine arts graduate of Dhaka University, is again in the news. Many of people believe that he is the master mind of this attack. Meanwhile, Bangladesh decided to seek out the help of the international police organization INTERPOL to arrest Nathan. In accordance with this a letter will soon to be sent to Interpol adding details of the case and misdemeanor against him. After that, the process of issuing a red notice will start.

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan visited Bandarban on Saturday. Apart from the field-level officers, the minister held a meeting with the heads of law enforcement agencies and various intelligence agencies. Nathan Bom's activities were discussed in that meeting. There the issue of taking INTERPOL's help regarding Nathan Bom discussed. Several senior officials present at the meeting informed this information. 

Talking to several residents of the hill, it is known that there are about 15,000 residents of the Bom community in the mountainous area. Some of them have moved towards Mizoram. Nathan Bom became known in the Bom community soon after he was admitted to the Fine Arts Department of Dhaka University. He has five brothers and one sister. Nathan is the youngest of the siblings. His wife Lelsomkin Bom works as a nurse at Ruma Upazila Health Complex in Bandarban. However, it is heard that they had a divorce.

It is known that there are multiple cases against Nathan in the case of training members of a militant organization called Jama'atul Ansar Fil Hindal Sharqiya in a secret hideout in the mountains. Nathan was providing the training in exchange for money.
