1 Killed, 5 Injured As Awami League Factions Clash In Munshiganj

A person named Parvez Khan was killed in a clash between two factions of the Awami League over the expansion of dominance in Munshiganj. In this incident, one person was shot and five others were injured.

The clash took place at the Chhoto Mollakandi area in Charkewar Union of Sadar Upazila on Saturday (April 13) morning. 

Police and eyewitnesses said that there was a long-standing dispute between the Ahmed group and the Mamun group in the area over local dominance. Both of them are involved in Awami League politics. The Ahmed group attacked the houses of members of the Mamun group early on Saturday morning. At this time, a conflict broke out between the two factions. Six people were injured including two shots. At that time, Parvez died on the way to Dhaka while taking him for better treatment.   

Munshiganj General Hospital emergency department physician Md. Sohag said that the condition of the Rabbi among those shot is out of fear. However, bullet-shot wounded Parvez died on the way to Dhaka.

Munshiganj Sadar police station OC Aminul Islam said that the police were sent to the spot after receiving the information. In this, Parvez Khan died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
