8,000 Fake Freedom Fighters' Certificates Cancelled

Minister of Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque has informed that the certificates of 8,000 fake freedom fighters have been cancelled. He disclosed this while answering journalists' questions at the Mujibnagar Day event at the historic Mujibnagar Amrakanan in Meherpur on Wednesday (April 17).

The minister said that already the certificates of 8,000 fake freedom fighters have been cancelled. Besides, if anyone provides specific information about fake freedom fighters, their certificates will be cancelled immediately. The construction of the Mujibnagar Liberation War Memorial will start soon.

Earlier, the minister offered floral tributes at the Mujibnagar Memorial.

The minister further said that a project has been undertaken to internationalize Mujibnagar to preserve the memories of the Liberation War. With the Prime Minister's approval, construction work of the Mujibnagar Liberation War Memorial Center will start soon.
