Internet Services Disrupted Across Country

Internet service in the country is being disrupted due to the suspension of the connection of the second submarine cable (SIMUI-5) of the country.

It is said that the problem started after 12:00 pm on Friday. Customers among internet service providers are getting slow internet service.

Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC (BSCPLC), a state-owned bandwidth provider, said that this situation has arisen due to the 'break' of the fiber cable in Singapore.

It has been informed by the company, 'Since SIMUI-5 is closed, they are trying to make an alternative arrangement of internet supply through SIMUI-4 (first submarine cable). It will be known by Saturday afternoon when it will be normal.
