Bus Catches Fire In Capital's Banani

A passenger bus caught fire in front of the Banani Navy headquarters in the capital. Two units of the fire service are working on the scene.

The fire service received information about the fire around 4 pm on Saturday. Khaleda Yasmin, duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room confirmed the matter.

On information, two fire engines rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control around 4:15 pm, Khaleda Yasmin said.

The bus was in front of Army Stadium, she added.

No casualities were reported in the fire.

Initially, the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not known. Apart from this, no casualties were reported.
