84 Percent Died after the 'Lockdown'

4. Harassment of garment workers

As a result, people flocked to the Bangabandhu Bridge Highway in Gazipur, Tangail, Narayanganj, Shimulia-Kanthalbari and Paturia-Daulatdia ferry routes. Later, after the workers reached Dhaka, the BGMEA announced the closure of the factory at 10 pm. After that, from April 26, a limited number of garment factories started opening.

5. Millions of people at the janaza

Hundreds of thousands of people attended a janaza in Brahmanbaria on April 17 as part of a public holiday. 6. Discount for Eid

The government had given conditional permission to open shopping malls, markets and shops from May 10, ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr on May 25, despite the general holiday till May 30. The conditions included adherence to hygiene, social distance, and closing of shops between four in the afternoon. However, the administration closed shops in most districts a week later as it was not possible to ensure implementation of these conditions.

10. Current situation
