Copa America: Argentina And Brazil in the Final of a Major Tournament after 14 Yrs

After 14 years, the finals of Argentina and Brazil are confirmed.

Argentina beat Colombia in a tiebreaker in Copa America semifinal. Earlier, Brazil defeated Peru 1-0 to reach the final.

The two eternal rivals of football will face each other in the final of the tournament on Sunday at 6 am Bangladesh time.

Colombia drew 1-1 with Argentina in regulation time. Lotaro Martinez put Argentina ahead with a goal from Lionel Messi's pass in the seventh minute of the match.

Then in the 61st minute Luis Díaz  or Colombia equalized with a goal from a narrow angle from the side.

This confirmed the Copa America final between Brazil and Argentina.

Brazil and Argentina last met in the Copa America final in 2006. That time Brazil won 3-0.

Brazil also beat Argentina 2-0 in the 2019 Copa America semifinals.

Argentina is ahead in the Copa America in the competition between 2 World Cup winning Argentina and 5 World Cup winning Brazil.

So far, Argentina has won the top title in South America 14 times, while Brazil has won 9 times.

However, Brazil and Argentina have met 107 times in tournaments or competitive matches, where Brazil has won 48 times, Argentina has won 34 matches. And 25 matches have been drawn Up.

These two neighboring countries have historically been eternal rivals in football.
