The third wave of coronavirus will hit India soon. The Indian Medical Association (IMA), the country's top body of doctors, made the claim in a press statement on Monday (July 12th).

Despite the fact that India is at the crossroads of the second and third wave of Covid-19, the statement strongly criticized the attitude of the people there.

It has been said that based on the information received from different countries and the history of the pandemic, the third wave is inevitable and imminent. Based on the review of the situation of the last one and a half years, it can be said that the third wave can be prevented only through mass vaccination and proper adherence to the hygiene rules.

Covid-19 restrictions have been relaxed in most states of the country as daily infections have come under control. Since then, crowds of tourists have been rushing towards various tourist spots in the country. Crowds of tourists in the hilly areas have raised concerns. Many people are frightened to see crowds of people without masks in tourist centers. The IMO has also expressed concern.

In the second wave of Corona, the situation in India became deplorable. The patient died due to lack of oxygen. Getting a hospital bed was like winning the lottery. The drugs disappeared from the market. Long lines were seen at the cemeteries. Lots of corpses have flowed through the Ganges. Even the people of the country are shocked to see the video of Covid infected bodies being dumped in the Ganges. The bodies were also buried in the sand of the Ganges.

Crowds in the market, election rallies, religious festivals, etc. are blamed for the second wave of coronavirus that taking a deadly shape in India. Bad policy decisions of the government, lack of surveillance, ignoring the initial warnings have also played a role in this. Now experts say that if the same mistake is made again in India, the third wave could be devastating.

Learning from this situation, the country's government is now preparing in advance for the third wave of Corona. According to some experts, the third wave of corona can be more deadly.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government has decided to guarantee a loan of Tk 50,000 crore to expand health services outside the big cities. The Prime Minister hopes that this will result in private companies investing. Infrastructure will grow.

Meanwhile, a third wave of corona has already hit Mexico. Last week, Covid infections in the country concerned jumped by 29 percent.

According to the country's health ministry, young people are more affected by corona. And that's why covid infections have increased. And they fear that the third wave of Corona will reach its peak in August.

In Mexico, there is an emphasis on vaccinating the elderly. Therefore, the risk of ovid-19 disease in the elderly is greatly reduced. So this time they are taking initiative to vaccinate all the adults.

The third wave of corona may hit India in October-November if the rules are not followed. But in a state of anxiety, the government panel's researchers sounded hopeful. He said the number of daily infections that the country saw during the second wave of corona would be halved in the third wave.

During the second wave of corona, India saw the highest daily transmission on 8 May. On this day, 4 lakh 14 thousand 188 people were infected with corona in India. Monindra Agarwal, a professor at IIT Kanpur, said that if a new variant puts its paw on the body of a common man during the third wave, it could be more contagious.

Significantly, an expert panel was formed last year on behalf of the Department of Science and Technology to monitor the Corona graph. Monindra Agarwal is a member of this panel.

The third wave of corona, she said, would have a more devastating variant effect, with reduced immunity.

In multiple tweets, Manindra said, ‘We think life will return to normal in August. There is one more possibility of a third wave. In August, more than 25 percent of infectious variants can settle. This variant is not Delta Plus.

She shared a graph tweet, which shows that the third wave of corona will be the worst in October and November.

At the moment, 5 percent of the country's population has received two doses of the vaccine. By the end of this year, the government wants to bring 108 crore people under vaccination.

In this context, Randeep Guleria, head of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), said that this is the main challenge. It may take up to three months for the new wave to arrive. But depending on the subject, some may take less time. So we have to keep a close watch. In addition to this, the rules of Covid must be followed. Last time we saw a variant that came from outside and spread here in huge size. Lots of infections are seen. This situation requires strict surveillance in the hotspot area.

Meanwhile, amid fears of a third wave, the Center has once again reminded people to abide by the health rules. The guidelines were issued by Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla. Guidelines have been sent to the chief secretaries of each state.

In the letter, the Home Secretary mentioned that with the reduction of active cases, many states have been exempted from the corona rule. The decision will have to be taken only after examining the situation on the spot. In addition to giving exemptions, it is also necessary to pay attention to whether the tax rules are being followed in each case. Emphasis should be given on test, track, treatment and vaccination.

In other words, the Union Home Secretary has reminded that even if the ban on corona is waived, there can be no negligence in sample testing, identification, treatment and vaccination of corona victims.
