During Eid-ul-Azha, Muslims sacrifice a grazing animal and distribute the flesh to the poor and destitute, family, and neighbors. There are numerous delights that are prepared in our houses. It's that time of year again, when we may eat meat for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. From the day of Eid until a few weeks later, we enjoy a variety of foods containing beef or mutton.

Beef bhuna, beef and mutton biriyani, beef kofta, reshmi kabab, shami kabab, beef korma, chaap fry, nehari, and many other dishes. Doesn't the full meaty feast seem delicious? But have you considered the calories you'll consume in the process?

Problems with Health

If you didn't know, eating less than 100 grams of meat each day is fine, but eating more than that can create health problems. Rushing to the hospital even on the second day is a very regular occurrence! Stomach ache, indigestion, heaviness, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and other symptoms are common. Also, if you have a heart condition or are diabetic, you should consult your doctor about consuming meat.

A Few Things to Keep in Mind

We've all experienced how difficult it is to resist the tantalizing aroma of biriyani cooking in the kitchen. We have the need to eat all of the delectable food on the dining table at once, without considering how much we can realistically store.

It's critical to include a bowl of salad without dressings in your lunch and dinner in the weeks after Eid. Aside from salads, don't forget about fruits, which are high in fiber and will help you stay full.

Make sure you keep track of your portion sizes and don't overindulge at mealtimes. Packaged and ready-to-eat foods should be avoided. Incorporate green tea, lime, and mint into your daily routine. Remember to eat fresh vegetables, which are easy to digest and can be included in light home-cooked meals such as brown rice, daal, sautéed vegetables, and clear soup.
