Hafez Saleh Ahmad Taqreem (13) from Bangladesh has won first place in the Iran International Hifzul Quran Competition, according to
Iran's International Quran News Agency.
His name was announced on Saturday (March 5th) in the final
winners of the 38th International Quran Competition held at the Andishah
Auditorium in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
It is learned that the names of the winners were announced
at the colorful closing ceremony of the six-day competition. In addition, 62
contestants from 29 countries participated in this year's International Quran
Competition. Out of them, 30 were declared as final winners in 10 categories.
A total of 30 winners have been announced in the men's and
women's sections in 10 categories. In this, Saleh Ahmad Taqreem, a contestant
from Bangladesh, has won first place in the entire Quran Hifz section of
the boy's section of school level students.
Hafez Saleh Ahmad Taqreem is a student of Markazu Faizil
Quran Al Islami Madrasa in Dhaka. His home is in Bhadra village of Nagarpur
police station in Tangail. His father Hafez Abdur Rahman is a madrasa teacher
and his mother is a housewife. On 22 August last year, Taqreem won first
place in the selection test held at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram under
the supervision of Islamic Foundation Bangladesh and was selected as the only
representative of Bangladesh in this competition.
