The 'Mujib Barsho Lokoj Mela' will be held from March 21 to March 26 next on the Government Sheikh Mujibur Rahman College premises in Tungipara of Gopalganj district.

Earlier, Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina joined a programme titled Tungipara: Hridoye Pitribhumi" at Tungipara on March 17 last and inaugurated the fair.

At the initiative of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Birth Centenary Celebration National Implementation Committee and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, Gopalganj District Administration and Bangladesh Folk Art and Crafts Foundation, the fair will begin with the aim of upholding the ideology of Bangabandhu, the war of liberation and Bangladesh’s history, tradition and culture, a press release said here today.

The fair comprising 100 government and private stalls will remain open from 3 pm to 10 pm every day.

The event will be held marking the 102nd birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the National Children's Day-2022.
