6,000-Kg Banned Polythene Bags Seized in Ctg

A team of the Department of Environment (DoE) here, in a drive, seized 6,000 Kilograms (Kgs) of banned polythene bags from city's Asadganj area under Kotwali thana on Wednesday.

The team, led by DoE Chattogram Metro unit, conducting the drive in the area and seized the polythene bags from a storeroom of Osmania gali in the city, the DoE sources said.

Later, notice was issued to the godown owner for his offence to appear at the DoE, Chattoagram Metro office for hearing, the sources added.
