Bishwa Ijtema: Pilgrims Start Gathering On The Bank Of Turag River

Pilgrims started gathering on the bank of Turag River in Tongi to take part in the first phase of Bishwa Ijtema 2024.

Already the whole Ijtema venue of 160 acres, has fulfilled by the pious Muslims. After finding no space inside the field, many pilgrims were seen taking position on the two sides of the entry points.

Engineer Abdun Noor, a member of the organizing committee of Bishwa Ijtema said that although the main phase of Bishwa Ijtema is scheduled to start from Friday, the pilgrims have come to the Maidan in groups since Wednesday.

The first phase of the 72-hour gathering will begin with ‘Aam Bayan’ (general sermons) after Fazr prayers on Friday (February 2) and will end with Akheri Munajat (final prayers) on Sunday (February 4).
