Cabinet Okays Proposed National Budget for FY 23-24

The Cabinet has approved the national budget for the next fiscal year, 2023–24. The size of the budget this time is Tk 7,61,785 crore.

The budget was approved at a special meeting of the Cabinet on Thursday (June 1). Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting.

This will be the country's 52nd budget.

The budget is expected to be passed in parliament on June 26.
