SpiceJet Starts Chattogram-Kolkata Flight

SpiceJet has started its flight from the country's commercial capital Chattogram to neighboring country India's Kolkata route.

M Farhad Hossain Khan, Wing Commander of Shah Amanat International Airport (SAIA), inaugurated the flight by cutting a ribbon on Thursday. He also cut a cake to mark the occasion.

While speaking at the event, Farhad Hossain said that the Kolkata-bound people, especially entrepreneurs, patients, students and travelers, from Chattogram will be benefitted after the inauguration of the flight. Passenger and cargo transportation will increase, he said.

Sources said SpiceJet started the flight operation under Air Bubble Agreement between Bangladesh-India which is their 11th international destination.

Primarily, the flight will be operated on the Chattogram-Kolkata route on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday in a week.

The flight will depart from Kolkata at 10:05 am and arrive in Chattogram at 11:45 am. From Chattogram, it will fly for Kolkata at 12:30 pm and will reach Kolkata at 1:10 pm.
