Walton TV Celebrates Highest Export in 2020

Bangladeshi electronics brand Walton witnessed success in exporting televisions in 2020 some 10 times higher than that of 2019 amidst the COVID-19 situation.

The company held a celebration programme titled ‘Highest Television Export in 2020’ at its corporate office in Dhaka on Thursday (Yesterday), according to a press release.

Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi attended the programme virtually as the chief guest while additional secretary of Commerce Ministry Hafizur Rahman, Bangladesh ambassador to Greece

Ashud Ahmed, deputy ambassador of Denmark Embassy in Dhaka Refika Hayta and head of Danish Trade Mission Ali Mushtaq Butt were present as special guests.

Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited vice-chairman SM Shamsul Alam, directors Raisa Sigma Hima and Rifah Tasnia Swarna, managing director Golam Murshed, deputy managing director Humayun Kabir, International Business Unit president Edward Kim, Walton TV CEO Mostafa Nahid Hossain, WHIL executive director Firoj Alam and head of Europe Business Tauseef Al Mahmud were also present.

German ambassador to Bangladesh Peter Fahrenholtz, in an email, congratulated Walton for its success in exporting televisions amid the COVID-19 situation.
