Gold prices increased by Tk 2,041.2 per bhori
All
kinds of gold rate increased by Tk 2,041.2 per bhori, in line with the global
market, Bangladesh Jewellers’ Samity (Bajus) said in a statement.
The new
rate of gold will be effective from Sunday, the statement said.
According
to BAJUS President Enamul Haque Khan, gold prices in the local market have been
adjusted to reflect the surge in worldwide prices.
In its
statement, Bajus on Saturday said the price per gram of 22 carat gold was set
at Tk 6300, and it will be sold at Tk 73,483.2 per bhori.
It was
sold at Tk 71,442 per bhori even on Saturday. One bhori is about 11.664 grams.
As per the new price chart, 18 carat gold per bhori will be sold at Tk 61,585.92, while 21 carat gold per bhori for Tk 70,333.92.
The traditional (sanatan) category of gold will be sold at Tk 51,263.28 per bhori.
Earlier
on May 10, Jewellers increased the price of gold.
