E-commerce Companies Will Get Money after Delivering Goods

From now, e-commerce companies will receive money after the delivery of goods to buyers. Bangladesh Bank will control these transactions.

Additional Secretary (Director General, WTO Cell) of the Ministry of Commerce Hafizur Rahman said this.

A meeting on 'Management of Digital Commerce' was held at noon on Thursday (June 24) under the chairmanship of Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh.

After the meeting, Director General Hafizur Rahman told reporters that an SOP service would be developed through Bangladesh Bank soon. So that payment is not taken before delivery of the product. Those who have a bank or credit card will control the payment.

Hafizur Rahman said, if they receive a message after delivery of the product after payment, then they will confirm the payment. This is a fair decision. SOP will be developed soon. The immediate issue is that the payment system will be controlled through Bangladesh Bank.
