Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) today said that no action would be taken against those RMG workers, who are stuck in their respective places during the countrywide lockdown, for not joining their respective factories.

The Association also urged the RMG factory owners to operate their factories with the workers living nearby the factories, reports BSS.

The BGMEA came up with this statement this evening following the government’s gazette notification issued yesterday to make open all the export-oriented industries from August 1.

Terming the RMG workers as frontline workers, the RMG owners also urged the government to bring the RMG workers under vaccination.
