The much-discussed and controversial
e-commerce company Evaly has sought another six months to answer six
questions asked by the Commerce Ministry.
This information was given by the
Ministry of Commerce and Evaly on Monday (August 2).
"We have requested for six months
to address the issues raised by the ministry," he said. Why the time has
been asked, it has been said in the application.
In addition to the extra time given to
the ministry on Sunday, Evaly said a third would have to assess Evaly's full
financial statements and company through an independent audit firm. It will
take six months to present the company's situation and related information.
Then all the questions can be answered.
During this period, Evali will make
every effort to gradually complete the delivery of the previously promised
product and submit a progress report to the Ministry every 15 days. Evaly has
signed an investment deal worth Tk 1,000 crore. Evaly also told the Commerce
Ministry that he would initially get Tk 200 crore under the agreement.
