Former Bangladesh national
team captain and Member of Parliament Mashrafe Bin Mortaza has said that he has
no connection with e-Orange, an e-commerce company.
He made the remarks live on
a Facebook page called News Hub on Monday (August 16) following complaints from
e-Orange customers.
"I have nothing to do
with e-Orange," Mashrafe said. According to the agreement, all my
transactions with them are over. I have a contract with them for six months
from January 1 this year. That contract expired in June.
“I have not received any
complaints from customers in my six months of working as per the contract,” he
added. As soon as my contract was over, complaints started coming from
customers.
"I am always on the
side of the common man," he said. I am by the side of those who are in
danger. I will continue to work to support all of them.
Mashrafe said he had talked
to the CEO of e-Orange. They will start delivering products to customers from August 19 and those who have bounced checks will get the money.
Meanwhile, the CEO of the
company has been called to the DB office to solve the problems of the
customers, he said.
After receiving such
assurances from Mashrafe, about 2,000 protesting customers left the e-Orange
office.
