The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association has decided to raise the prices of gold by around Tk 1,867 per bhori (11.664 grams), with effect from Thursday.

BAJUS general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala confirmed the matter to the media on Wednesday.

Now, gold of 22-carat will cost Tk 75,000 per bhori, 21-carat Tk 71,675, 18-carat Tk 61,819 and gold of traditional method Tk 51,205 respectively.

Dilip Kumar reasoned gold prices hike in the international market for raising the same in the local market.
