The achievement of life is different for individuals. Some are more career conscious, while others give priority to their own well-being in terms of livelihood and happiness. Rumana Yasmin Rima is from the second group. The veiled woman entrepreneur has taken herself to the height of success even by following the commands of Islam.

Rima is currently the head of 'Risam Fashion', an online business for local and Indian saris and its two outlets.

Rima holds a master's degree from Kumudini Government College, Tangail. She had a special fondness for saris since childhood. From that love and passion, she has now become a complete entrepreneur and businesswoman.

The veiled woman entrepreneur has been doing business since 2017. Her husband is a first-class bank officer. There was plenty of time in the small family of this couple. How that time would be used is what Rima used to think. She started working with seven saris but now he is working with different types of saris.

Reminiscing about the beginning, Rima said, "I bought some saris as gifts; I was looking at the sari and wondering if I can do anything with these saris? With that thought, my husband and I opened an online page together. Then I started the business by buying seven saris with only 5 thousand taka."

Rima started the business with a capital of only 5 thousand taka. She gradually expands the range of business with hard work and talent. In the beginning, she used to bring saris from local weavers and sell it. She herself came up with the Katan saris for the buyers by choosing the design and color.

Asked what problems she faced in doing business, Rima said, "The hardest thing for me was to work behind the veil and gain the trust of buyers, where others present themselves and live with brand promoters. There I have won the hearts of customers with good customer service, reasonable price, and product quality."

"Is the business sector being ruined by increasing sellers?" When asked, Rima said, "It’s good to do business online, but starting a business without proper knowledge is a problem in many cases. Some sellers sell products at the price they bought for sale when they did not find the desired buyer, showing one and delivering another. This started the unhealthy competition in the market."

Rima believes that if a successful entrepreneur is honest, hardworking, and has a habit of competing with own self, then success will come. This woman entrepreneur dreams that one day the name of 'Risam Fashion' will spread across the country.
