Digital
payment booths have been set up at 6 cattle markets under Dhaka North City
Corporation (DNCC) to ensure safe and easy transactions for buyers and sellers
at the cattle market ahead of Eid-ul Azha.
These
booths have been set up at Sector 17, Gabtali, Basila, Aftabnagar, Bhatara,
Kawla and Uttara.
DNCC
Chief Property Officer Dr Mohammad Mahe Alam inaugurated the digital payment
booth at Bhatara Pashur Hat in the capital on Monday (July 4th).
Mohammad
Mahe Alam said, ‘Smart Hat initiative has been taken to ensure safe and easy
transactions of buyers and sellers at Korbani Animal Market. Digital payment booths
have been launched at 6 DNCC cattle markets in collaboration with Bangladesh
Bank. This initiative will play an important role in resolving the problem of
buyers and sellers carrying cash, counterfeit or torn notes.
