Bangladesh Jeweller's Association (BAJUS) has announced to reduce the price of gold. The price of good quality gold has been reduced by Tk 2 thousand 278. As a result, from Thursday (August 18), the price of 22 carat gold will be 82 thousand 56 taka. Which was 84 thousand 331 taka till today Wednesday (August 17).

This information was informed in a press release signed by MA Hannan Azad, chairman of BAJUS Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee on Wednesday (August 17). It is said that the price of acidic gold has decreased in the local market. Therefore, considering the overall situation, Bangladesh Jeweller's Association has decided the new price of gold.

According to the new announcement of BAJUS, from August 18, it will cost 82 thousand 56 taka to buy good quality 22 carat gold (11.664 grams). The price of 21 carat gold has been fixed at 78 thousand 323 taka.

18 carats will cost 67 thousand 126 taka and traditional method has been fixed at 55 thousand 287 taka.

However, the price of silver has been kept unchanged as before. According to the category, the price of 22 carat silver is 1 thousand 516 taka. The price of 21 carat silver remains unchanged at Tk 1,435, 18 carat silver at Tk 1,225 and traditional silver at Tk 933.
