The opening ceremony was held at the Grand Ball Room which was followed by a joint press conference held in octagon shaped lobby with General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, Bangladesh Army Chief of Staff, and General Charles Flynn, Commanding General of the US Army Pacific.
Also, there was an event that was designed with several plenary sessions focusing on "Robust Peacekeeping", "Women Empowerment", and "Land Power in Regional Cooperation" featuring distinguished guest speakers and discussions on the challenges and ways forward. This event took place at Utshab Hall.
The main program was held in Grand Ball Room with all the senior army leaders and delegates from 24 countries around the Indo-Pacific who participated in the seminar. The theme of the conference was the 'Prospects and Challenges in Maintaining Peace and Security in the Indo-Pacific' region.
IPAMS is the largest conference for land forces in the region and also one of the preeminent army engagements that provide a forum for senior military leaderships from the Indo-Pacific regional land forces to exchange views and ideas on peace and stability. This is also the first time since 2019 that regional armies have gathered for the annual forum because of the global pandemic.
Radisson Blu Dhaka Water Garden accommodated a total of 130 foreign delegates & army officials from 24 countries during this 4-day event.
This prestigious event was held for the second time at Radisson Blu Dhaka, as they hosted this seminar back in 2014.
