Gold Price Crosses 1 Lac for First Time in BD

For the first time in the country, the Gold Jewellers increased in price and declared their pricing beyond Tk 1.00.000 per bhori.

According to a press statement, Bangladesh Jewellers Samity (Bajus) announced the price increase on Thursday. 

Good quality 22 carat gold is now Tk2333 per bhori more expensive. Customers would have to pay Tk 100,777 for each bhori of 22-carat gold starting on Friday.

The cost is the highest it has ever been in the nation. 

On Thursday, MA Hannan Azad, the Chairman of the Standing Committee for Bajus Price Determination and Price Monitoring, signed the news release.

The notification states that acidic gold is now more expensive on the local market. Bajus set the new gold price in light of the entire scenario. It will go into effect on Friday, July 21.

The cost of solid 21-carat gold is Tk96228, solid 18-carat gold is Tk82464, and traditional gold costs Tk68701. Silver's cost has remained constant while the price of gold has climbed.
