Gazette Notification Of Duty Reduction On 4 Commodities

The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has issued a notification giving duty-tax exemptions on rice, edible oil, sugar and dates on the occasion of the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.

Today Thursday (February 8) NBR Chairman Abu Hena. This information is known from four separate orders signed by Rahmatul Munim.

In the cabinet meeting held at the Prime Minister's Office on January 29, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina ordered to reduce the duty on edible oil, sugar, dates and rice on the occasion of Ramadan.

The Prime Minister said that the supply of these products should not be reduced during Ramadan.
