Today, Friday (February 16), various markets in the capital city were visited to observe the situation.

Upon visiting the markets, it was observed that cauliflowers, cabbages, capsicums, radishes, and turnips are being sold at around 50 Taka per kilogram, showing a decrease of 10-20 Taka compared to the previous week. Regarding the increase in beef prices, the president of the Meat Traders Association, Golam Murtaza, mentioned that farmers have reduced the sale of cattle due to upcoming fasting and sacrificial festivals, leading to a decrease in supply and a subsequent increase in prices.

On the other hand, the prices of broiler chicken eggs and farm chicken eggs remain stagnant. Broiler chicken eggs are being sold at 45 Taka per dozen in large markets, while in local shops, they are priced at 50 Taka per dozen.
