Govt To Sell Beef At 600 Taka Per KG From March 10

Fish and livestock minister Abdur Rahman has announced that from March 10th onwards, in Dhaka, beef will be sold at Tk 600 per kg on 30 spots.

Today, on Monday (March 4), at the conclusion of the second session of the district administration conference at the Osmani Memorial Milonayatan in the capital, he informed the journalists.

Abdur Rahman said that during Ramadan, fish and meat will be sold at affordable prices. Through roaming trucks for sale, beef will be sold for Tk 600, goat meat for Tk 900, and solid broiler chicken for Tk 280 at 30 spots in Dhaka.

He said, "Eggs will be sold at Tk 10 per piece 50 paisa each. This is our interim measure. It will be inaugurated on March 10th. This will continue until the day before Eid."

The minister said, "There is a directive to sell outside Dhaka at fair prices. Traders are urged not to profit from people's suffering."

"Fish and meat will be sold at low prices in Dhaka through the sale of roaming trucks. If you want to know if there are any such plans outside Dhaka, the minister said, it will be done in 30 places in Dhaka. I will try to spread these issues to more places according to the capacity."

Regarding controlling the prices of commodities during Ramadan, Minister Rahman said, We will strictly control the market this Ramadan month. This time the DCs have agreed to take charge of the market with all their strength.
