Gold Prices Dip In Bangladesh Market, New Rates Effective Tomorrow

Gold prices have dropped in the country's market. The price of the best quality gold has been reduced by Tk 1,750, set at Tk 1,11,158 per bhori.

An announcement today (March 19) revealed that the new prices will be effective from Wednesday (March 20).

According to the announcement, the price of 22-carat gold (tezabi gold) has decreased in the local market. As a result, new gold prices have been set considering the overall situation.

According to the new prices, the price of 22-carat gold per bhori (11.664 grams) will be Tk 1,11,158. Additionally, the price of 21-carat gold per bhori will be Tk 1,06,142, 18-carat gold per bhori will be Tk 90,979, and the price of traditional gold per bhori has been set at Tk 75,816.

Earlier, on March 6, the price of the best quality 22-carat gold had been set at Tk 1,12,908 per bhori, which was the highest in the country's history. And the price of one bhori of 21-carat gold was Tk 1,07,775, 18-carat gold was Tk 92,379, and traditional gold was set at Tk 76,982.

This year, the gold prices have been adjusted four times by Bajus. In 2023, the prices were adjusted 29 times.
